Plan 89631R is a 3-bedroom single-story house plan with 1615 ft² of living space, a modern Scandinavian look and a U-shaped layout under a mix of gable and flat roof sections. The gable roof rises at a 7/12 (30°) pitch with its ridge perpendicular to the street, while stucco and metal panels give the exterior walls a crisp, contemporary European character. The house measures 61'6" wide and 64'7" deep, with a height of 19'8", and its wings wrap around a private courtyard that becomes an outdoor room for the family. The exterior walls are built of silicate block, and the plan is also available with aerated concrete, ceramic blocks or wood frame walls.
Inside, an open floor plan joins the large family room and the large kitchen into one generous living space. The kitchen centers on an island for cooking, homework and conversation, and a breakfast nook offers a relaxed spot for weekday meals without leaving the heart of the house. Large windows, including floor-to-ceiling windows, bring plenty of daylight into the rooms and keep the courtyard and the deck in view. On winter evenings, the glass and the clean minimalist interior make the whole space feel calm and bright.
The three bedrooms are clustered together, which keeps the sleeping area quiet and separate from the busy living zone. The main floor master includes a walk-in closet, and one full bathroom serves the bedrooms. Practical rooms are planned with care: the entry gives coats and shoes their own place, and the laundry sits in the utility room, so laundry on the main floor means no stairs and no baskets carried from level to level.
The house stands on a slab foundation and has no basement; strip footings, bored piles or a block foundation are also available on request. A 2-car carport shelters the vehicles, and the deck extends family life outdoors for summer dinners and slow morning coffee. With its clean lines, generous glazing and courtyard layout, this modern house plan suits a family that wants comfortable living on one level.
