This house plan can be modified to fit your family’s lifestyle and your lot’s specifics.
Plan 33241R is a 5-bedroom two-story house plan that brings together contemporary, New American and transitional design with a modern farmhouse character, offering 4295 ft² beneath a hip and valley roof. The H-shaped single family home measures 94'1" wide and 69'5" deep, and its exterior pairs siding with brick. Inside are four full and three half bathrooms, a main floor master and room for a large household.
The heart of the home is an open floor plan built around a large family room with a fireplace. Part of this space is open to below, so the upper level overlooks the room and the height adds to its sense of scale. The large kitchen sits at the center and rear of the house, with an island, a breakfast bar and a walk-in pantry, while a breakfast nook with a corner window gives a bright spot for slow weekend mornings. A second kitchen makes holidays and big gatherings easier to handle, and a home office offers a quiet place to work away from the daily bustle.
The master suite on the main floor includes a walk-in closet and keeps the owners close to the living areas. The other bedrooms are clustered together, which keeps family life organized and private. Laundry is placed in the utility room, and a second-floor laundry saves trips up and down the stairs. A bonus level upstairs and dedicated storage leave room for a playroom, a hobby space or whatever the family needs as it grows.
Outside, the 3-car garage extends forward and combines front entry and courtyard entry bays, framing a courtyard at the front of the house. A covered front porch welcomes guests, and the covered rear porch with an outdoor fireplace stretches the living space outdoors well into cool autumn evenings. Large windows and floor-to-ceiling windows connect the rooms to the views. The foundation is as shown in the plans, and the design is also available with a crawl space, slab, monolithic slab, stem wall or basement foundation, as well as with 2×6 exterior walls on request.
