This house plan can be modified to fit your family’s lifestyle and your lot’s specifics.
Plan 34940R is a 4-bedroom elevated house plan with four stories, 3275 ft² of living space, a hip and valley roof and a Coastal, contemporary character rooted in traditional American design. Lap siding wraps the exterior, and stacked porches across the elevation give the single-family home its layered, relaxed profile. The house measures 39'6" wide and 66'4" deep, and an elevator links every level, so the vertical layout stays easy for all ages.
The main living spaces follow an open floor plan. The large family room is anchored by a fireplace, a natural gathering point on cool evenings, and it flows into a large kitchen built for real cooking and entertaining. An island and a breakfast bar give room for casual meals and conversation, a breakfast nook adds a sunny spot for morning coffee, and a walk-in pantry keeps supplies organized and out of sight. A defined entry welcomes guests, and a home office offers a quiet place to work away from the activity of the living areas. A loft adds flexible space for reading, play or a media corner.
The house plan includes 4 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms and 1 half bath. The bedrooms are clustered, keeping the family close together, and the master suite sits on the second floor with a walk-in closet. The laundry is on the second floor as well, right where the clothes are, which saves trips up and down the stairs. An in-law suite gives visiting parents, older relatives or long-term guests their own private quarters with a full bath, a real advantage for multigenerational living.
Outside, a covered front porch and a covered rear porch extend the living space, a balcony opens from above, and a deck adds room for outdoor dining. The drive-under garage holds four cars and is available with rear entry and side entry, keeping the street elevation clean and the vehicles beneath the house. The foundation is built as shown in the plans, and the design is also available on request with a crawl space, slab, monolithic slab, stem wall or basement foundation, as well as with 2×6 exterior walls.
