This house plan can be modified to fit your family’s lifestyle and your lot’s specifics.
Plan 87724R is a 4-bedroom coastal house plan with four stories, 3236 ft² of living space and a beach-inspired modern look. The house is elevated above grade, dressed in siding and topped by a hip & valley roof, and it measures 59'2" wide and 49'4" deep. Contemporary lines and an American sense of comfort make it a single family home meant for year-round living, not just summer weekends.
The layout follows a reverse living floor plan, so the main gathering spaces sit on an upper level, where the views and the breeze are best. An open floor plan joins a large family room with a large kitchen placed at the rear of the house. The kitchen works hard: a central island, a breakfast bar for quick meals, a breakfast nook for slower ones and a walk-in pantry that keeps the counters clear. On a bright morning the whole level reads as one generous room, while a media room gives the family a separate place for movie nights.
This main living level also holds a master suite with a walk-in closet and the laundry, so daily routines stay on one floor. The plan offers 2 master suites, a welcome arrangement for guests, grown children or aging parents, and the split bedrooms keep each suite private from the other two bedrooms. Three full bathrooms and one half bathroom serve the household, and dedicated storage space helps keep beach gear and seasonal items out of sight. An elevator connects all four stories, which makes this a true house plan with an elevator rather than a climb up and down the stairs.
Outside, stacked porches layer outdoor rooms on top of one another: a covered front porch, a covered rear porch, a deck and a lanai give space for coffee at sunrise or dinner as the evening cools. A breezeway adds a sheltered link along the exterior. The 2-car garage is a drive-under design with side entry, tucked beneath the house so the elevated living floors stay open. The house has no basement and is built on the foundation as shown; it is also available with a crawl space, slab, monolithic slab, stem wall or basement foundation, and with 2×6 exterior walls on request.
