This house plan can be modified to fit your family’s lifestyle and your lot’s specifics.
Plan 84955R is a 4-bedroom 2-story house plan with 3507 ft² of living space, an L-shaped modern farmhouse design under a hip & valley roof accented by dormers. Country and New American character shows in the facade, where siding meets stone/brick veneer, and the home measures 65'0" wide and 101'8" deep. Four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and a half bath are arranged around an open floor plan that keeps the most important rooms on the main level.
The large family room sits at the center of family life. Vaulted ceilings give it height, and a fireplace makes it a true house plan with fireplace, the natural gathering place on winter evenings. The center kitchen opens straight onto this space, with an island for preparing meals and a breakfast bar where children can do homework while dinner cooks. A breakfast nook offers a quieter corner for the first coffee of the day, and a walk-in pantry keeps groceries and small appliances out of sight. A separate home office gives remote work or household paperwork a room of its own, away from the bustle of the kitchen.
The split-bedroom layout gives the owners real privacy. The main floor master suite is set apart from the other bedrooms and includes a walk-in closet. Two secondary bedrooms share a Jack & Jill bath, so mornings run smoothly without a line at one door, while the half bath serves guests. Laundry on the main floor saves trips up and down the stairs, and dedicated storage keeps seasonal items organized. Above the garage, a bonus room works as a flex room: a playroom, a gym, a hobby space or extra quarters for visiting family.
Outside, the house is made for porch living. A covered front porch and a wraparound porch welcome guests and invite slow afternoons, a screened porch allows meals outdoors without insects, and a deck adds room for grilling and sunbathing. The attached 3-car garage extends forward with a courtyard entry, so the garage doors face the courtyard rather than the street and the front elevation stays elegant. The house is built on the foundation as shown in the drawings, without a basement as standard; crawl space, slab, monolithic slab, stem wall and basement foundations are also available on request, as are 2×6 exterior walls.
